My name is Sharon Ballard and I would like to welcome you to my site.

 

I have been qualified to practice alternative therapies since 1993, originally training as a massage therapist at the Wilbury School of Massage. 

 

My love of massage began when I had my own children. My daughter particularly enjoyed having her face massaged at bedtime.  This led to me working as a volunteer one day a week at Court Meadow Special School, Cuckfield, West Sussex. 

 

Court Meadow had just opened a purpose built room so that the children could experience a relaxing environment that stimulates the senses, with coloured lights, mobiles, soft music, aromatherapy oils and massage.  I was very honoured to have spent time there and based my dissertation on this experience, gaining a pass with credits.

 

I continued my own professional development by adding many more skills to my ‘tool box’ and have built up a good and supportive client base.

 

Since 2004/2005 I have become more and more interested in helping people with acute/chronic pain and utilize skills such as Myofacial release, Trigger Point therapy and Hot Stone Fusion as a unique combination with successful results. 

 

Discovering Scenar has been the Jewel in the Crown for me.  It is a fabulous device with exceptional protocols, that give the prospect of excellent long-term results, for most people suffering with chronic long term pain and cases of acute pain following accident or injury.  The results I have achieved have been remarkable.

 

My personal development is set to continue by increasing my knowledge in the field of Scenar.

In June 2009 i was fortunate enough to take place on  a four day training course with Professor Revenko and his wife Dr Subbotina.  Professor Revenko was part of the original unique team that developed the scenar device and its methods of use. My training with the Revenkos will be on-going.
