SCENAR, (Self-Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation) was developed around the late 70’s in the Soviet Union to address medical issues experienced by their Cosmonaughts whilst in space. In these conditions conventional pharmaceutical treatments would be impractical for numerous reasons.
The Russians placed much importance to the development of Scenar and were working to a high specification brief. Unlike the Americans space programme, they were unable to rely successfully on space shuttle rescue missions. At this point in time the Russians were still relying on solid fuel booster technology.
After ten years of development with top Soviet doctors and scientists the Scenar was born. The technology was so successful that the two engineers responsible for its development received the order of Lenin – Soviet equivalent of the Nobel Prize.
With the break up of the Soviet Union, Scenar technology was de-classified and became available to the Russian medical profession. Around 1998 scenar began to find its way into some european countries.
Germany in particular has really taken scenar therapy on board and it is used widely.
The promotion and distribution of Scenar into europe generally has been slow due to politics, language barriers/supporting documents, training and support.
Today SCENAR is highly credited and approved in Europe, Australia and the USA for pain-relief and muscle re-education. Scenar is now used by an increasing number of doctors, complementary health practitioners, specialised Scenar therapists and other healing professions.
